SRI.T. MURALIDHAR BHAGAVAT

SRI.T. MURALIDHAR BHAGAVAT, born in the year 1949 at Salem to Sri Raghavendra Bhagavat & Smt. Padmavathi and is the great grandson of Sri Rao BhadurBhagavantham Gupta, who was a Collector in Madras Presidency in pre-independence days.

He had his education in Chennai and did his post-graduation in Engineering – M Tech, (Machine Tools) from IIT, Chennai in the year 1972 and is a Gold medallist.
He began his illustrious career as an Engineer in English Electric Company, Chennai and continued there for 5 years during 1972 to 1977.

He moved to Mysore in the year 1978 to set up his own industry by setting up Forge Tools (Mysore) Pvt Ltd., an SSI unit for tool room activity and expanded it by setting up MGM Industries in 1982 & MGM Forgings Pvt Ltd in 1995 for manufacture of forgings to cater to automotive, defence and nuclear power sector.

He has been awarded with various awards including Udyog Ratna award from Government of India and his contribution to Mysore industrial sector has been recognized by Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industries and has won an award for excellence in exports. He was on the board of Confederation of Indian Industries and has been Vice President of Mysore chapter.

He has been a very generous philanthropist and is a President and Major donor of Vasavi Shanthidama old age home, housing about 160 aged inmates and is also a major donor to Sneha Kiran Mysore Spastic Society – a charitable trust set up for spastic children. He has been providing education for deserving children and medical help for the needy through his charitable trust.

He is a member of the Governing Council of Mahajana Education Society he was holding the position of vice president and currently he is President of Mahajana Education Society.

  • June 1970 : Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from GCT Coimbatore
  • 1972 : Post Graduation M.tech Mc. Tools( Gold Medallist ) from IIT Chennai.
  • 1972 - 77 : Joined English Electric Company as Graduate Apprentice Engineer and became super intendent of Tool Room and Machine Shop.
  • 1972 : Married to Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar.
  • 1977 : Moved to Mysuru to setup a New Tool Room.
  • 1978 : Setup own Tool Room in Mysuru as Forge Tools (Mysore) Pvt. Ltd.,
  • 1982 : Setup a Hammer Forging Company in the name of MGM Industries.
  • 1984 : Started New Company for Precision Machining as Ganesh Enterprises.
  • 1995 : Expanded and upgraded to Press Forging a Limited Company as MGM Forgings Pvt. Ltd
  • 2000 : Vice- President in CII
  • 2004 : Exited part of small forging facility MGM Industries to LG Balakrishna Coimbatore
  • 2005 : Major Donor for Sneha Kiran Mysore Spastic Society – a charitable trust set up for spastic children.
  • 2006 : Muralidhar Bhagavat Charitable Foundation for providing education for deserving
  • 2008 : Awarded as Udyograthna from Government of India
  • 2013 : Exited MGM Forgings Pvt Ltd to Sider ForgeRossi – Italy for ONGC Requirements.
  • 2014 : Vice-President in Mahajana Education Society.
  • 2018 : President in Vasavi Shanthidama old age home with 160 Inmates.
  • 2019 : President in Mahajana Education Society having 6000 Students from KG to Post Graduation and Doctoral research.
