Founded in 1978, MGM Group began as Forge Tools (Mysore) private limited. and later launched MGM Industries in 1982, specializing in hammer forging.
In 1995, MGM Forgings private limited was established to serve the automobile industry, and in 2008, its assets were transferred to AMW MGM Forgings private limited. and later to Siderforgerossi, Italy.
On June 18, 2024, MGM Forgings private limited re-acquired Siderforgerossi India and renamed it MGM Forgings Bharat private limited.
